This is my workflow.
- Write a copy to a word doc via chrome
- Paste my Copy Grammarly Premium for Window
- Self-edited based on Grammarly's feedback
- Send a document to the editor if it is a longer piece of text
- Publish it
It only takes me a couple of minutes to review my papers, and there are no technical headaches.

For this Grammarly Review, I will clarify my workflow, but don’t overthink what I do. Instead, focus on how you write!

The Grammarly desktop applications for Windows, Mac, iOS, and so on were updated in early 2018.
They have enhanced their user experience and introduced a range of new features, including writing tips and setting writing goals.
I don’t use too much of the Grammarly Microsoft Office plugin, as I use text edit and a couple of other writing applications for almost all of my work.
Instead, I prefer to complete my writing elsewhere, before using Grammarly for a final check. Although, if you write in Microsoft Word, the Grammarly Word add-in can be useful.
My preferred option is the Grammarly for Mac desktop app as well as the Grammarly for Chrome web app.
I also use the Grammarly Chrome extension to check for relatively short pieces of writing, such as emails and potentially embarrassing social media posts. The company provides you with a customized Grammarly keyboard for mobile devices.
So that you can apply the application to your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Gmail, and other web pages and platforms that you type in.
With this, you can enable Grammarly to automatically check most apps on your phone – which creates error-free text and documents a breeze.

If you’re wondering what you’re getting with Grammarly Premium. It provides detailed information on each of your grammatical errors in the pop-up box.
It also offers additional writing insights and an ability to impose writing goals. It also finds and fixes too many mistakes than the free version.
For every type of subscription, you can take a monthly, quarterly, or yearly subscription fee and apply for discounts.
I am currently paying for an annual premium subscription, as this strikes me as the right balance between affordability and the control of my expenses.

How Precise is Grammarly, and How Can Writers be Helped?
When you click on a Grammar Error in your text, the Grammarly grammar checker tool describes the problem. All you need to do is click the arrow to find out more about the suggestions.
It Identifies alternative options and explanations for your mistake.
Grammarly helped me to identify:
- Confused prepositions
- Over-use of passive voice
- Too many Wordy Sentences
- Repetitive words
- Common writing and grammar mistakes like misplaced apostrophes

The built-in grammar checkers did not provide this insight in Microsoft Word, Scrivener, and Pages, and over the last few years.

After writing this analysis of Grammarly, my response is no. Grammarly has ignored several errors, particularly in my creative writing and fiction.
That may be (there’s a squinting modifier!) because my fiction is more difficult to understand than my non-fiction. It does not always provide the meaning or input that a human proofreader does.

I spent months using Grammarly’s free online version free of charge, before writing Grammarly’s review.
Eventually, I paid for a three-month subscription to Grammarly Premium as I wrote several freelance articles and chapters for a novel. I had a small budget to spend on equipment, too.
Today, I still use the Premium version to check early blog posts and articles and to examine grammar errors in the chapters of the book.
I’m also relying on a Grammarly web browser extension such as the Grammarly Chrome plugin to check my emails, social media posts, and so on.
The Grammarly Online Editor will allow you to search for concise, punctuation, and spelling errors easily.
You still need to take the time to learn the fundamentals of Grammar. That says the online proofreading tools are great, but
I trust a collection of digital eyes on my writing, but I still work with human proofreaders, particularly for book chapters or longer documents.
